For MasterStudy LMS Course Creators
If you've ever wondered whether your students are actually watching your videos…
You're not alone. Most course creators build beautiful video lessons, then stare at completion percentages that tell them almost nothing. MasterStudy Video Analytics gives you the behavioral data you've been missing—right inside your WordPress dashboard.

MasterStudy Video Analytics Plugin— Track Student Video Engagement in WordPress LMS
Watch how MasterStudy Video Analytics changes the way you understand your courses
Here's What We Hear Every Day:
"We're creating great content—but we have no idea if it's landing."
🎭
Students click "Complete" without watching
Standard LMS completion status tells you nothing about actual viewing. Learners can mark lessons done without watching a single second—and you'd never know.
📉
You can't tell which video moments lose students
Without engagement data, you're guessing why completion rates are low. You don't know if learners drop off in the first 30 seconds or struggle halfway through.
🔍
No visibility into individual learner behavior
Aggregate course stats hide struggling students. You can't identify who needs support, which explanations confuse people, or which lessons are genuinely working.
Here's What Changes Everything:
MasterStudy Video Analytics is built specifically for MasterStudy LMS. It captures real behavioral data—play, pause, seek, replay, tab visibility, drop-off—and turns it into clear, actionable reports inside your WordPress dashboard.
Audience Retention Curves
See the exact percentage of learners who reach every point of a video. Instantly spot where student attention drops and pinpoint which content moments need improvement.
Rewatch Hotspot Detection
Automatically identifies video sections that learners replay most. High-replay moments signal either especially valuable content or concepts students find difficult to understand.
Drop-Off Detection
Identifies the biggest engagement cliffs in every lesson video so you can improve introductions, pacing, explanations, calls to action, or overall lesson structure.
Individual Student Analytics
View each learner's detailed video activity including percentage watched, furthest timestamp reached, attention ratio, completion status, and a full timeline of events.
Student Watch Heatmaps
A visual timeline per student showing watched sections, replayed sections, possible skipped gaps, and video areas never reached—all in one clear, scannable display.
Completion Gating (Optional)
Require students to watch a configurable percentage before MasterStudy allows lesson completion. Enforced at the front end and server-side—preventing any JavaScript bypasses.
Attention Ratio Tracking
Measure whether students are actively watching or have left the tab running in the background. Attention mode filtering separates genuine engagement from passive playback.
Multi-Player Compatibility
Automatically detects and tracks YouTube videos, Vimeo videos, self-hosted HTML5 video, and video lessons rendered through supported MasterStudy course-player configurations.
By-Video Reporting Section
Dedicated report view covering audience retention, rewatch activity, drop-off insights, and learner progress for every individual video lesson in your courses.
By-Student Reporting Section
Full student roster view with watch percentages, detailed session logs, heatmaps, and event timelines so you can identify and support learners who are falling behind.
CSV Export
Export video and student reports at any time. Share engagement data with instructors, clients, or internal training teams without needing to grant WordPress admin access.
Flexible Settings & Controls
Configure completion rules, watch threshold percentages, attention mode, and chart resolution. Run in analytics-only mode or activate completion requirements whenever your course is ready.
Privacy-First Data Storage
All engagement data is stored in dedicated WordPress database tables. No student activity is sent to external analytics platforms—keeping you in full control of your learning data.
Native MasterStudy LMS Integration
Connects engagement data directly to the correct course, lesson, student, and video session inside MasterStudy LMS. Analytics appear in a dedicated Video Analytics admin menu inside WordPress.
Your Journey Starts Here
From installation to your first course improvement in three straightforward steps.
Install & Activate the Plugin
Upload MasterStudy Video Analytics to your WordPress site (6.0+), activate your annual licence key, and the plugin immediately connects to your existing MasterStudy LMS course player. No third-party accounts or external services required.
Students Watch — Data is Captured Automatically
As logged-in students play video lessons, the plugin silently tracks play, pause, seek, replay, tab-visibility events, and watch progress for YouTube, Vimeo, and self-hosted HTML5 videos. Everything is stored privately in your WordPress database.
Review Reports & Act on the Insights
Open the Video Analytics admin menu in WordPress to explore retention curves, rewatch hotspots, drop-off points, individual student heatmaps, and session timelines. Export CSV reports, adjust lesson content, and optionally enable completion gating—all from one dashboard.

Your Questions, Honestly Answered
We'd rather you have the full picture before you buy.
Does this plugin work with any LMS, or only MasterStudy?
MasterStudy Video Analytics is built exclusively for the MasterStudy LMS course player. It requires an active MasterStudy LMS plugin installation and will not function with other LMS platforms such as LearnDash or LifterLMS.
Which video types are tracked automatically?
The plugin automatically detects and tracks YouTube videos, Vimeo videos, self-hosted HTML5 video files, and video lessons rendered through supported MasterStudy course-player configurations. No manual setup is needed per video type.
Can I stop students from completing a lesson without actually watching?
Yes. Enable Completion Gating in the plugin settings and set a minimum watch percentage. The plugin enforces this at two levels: a front-end lock on the Complete & Next button and a server-side validation layer that prevents bypasses via browser tricks or JavaScript manipulation.
Is my students' data sent anywhere outside my site?
No. All engagement data is stored in dedicated tables inside your own WordPress database. Nothing is transmitted to third-party analytics platforms, keeping you in full control of your learners' data and simplifying GDPR compliance.
What exactly does the annual licence cover?
One purchase covers a single WordPress installation and includes all courses, lessons, videos, and students on that site. The licence is renewed annually at $59 and comes with one activation key.
What are the minimum technical requirements?
You need WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, an active MasterStudy LMS plugin, and at least one MasterStudy course with video lessons. Per-student reporting and completion gating require students to be logged in to your WordPress site.
Start Making Every Video Lesson Work Harder
Your videos already contain valuable teaching data. MasterStudy Video Analytics helps you uncover it—so you can improve lessons, support struggling students, and build courses that actually work.
